Halloween

It was Dominic's first time trick or treating and he picked out a Thomas the Train costume. He hasn't been feeling too well the last week, so when it came time to put on his costume, he balked and wouldn't let us do it. So we decided to just head out of the house and see what happens. Just as we stepped off the sidewalk and into the street, a small group of kids approached the house, all dressed up. I ran back into the house and opened up so that I could treat the other kids. Dominic saw the kids in their costumes and decided he would let us dress him up. We then headed off into the night.

At the first house we approached, he was a little apprehensive, but when they opened the door and placed the bowl of candy in front of him, he quickly reached in and took one. He was incredulous when they told him he could take another. I could see the thought patterns running through his head, "So I get to dress up, go to strange doors, and they give me candy. Now they are offering me more!" Instead of going for a second piece of candy, he figured it for a good deal and tried to take the whole bowl!

Dominic enjoyed the rest of the evening, although the talking skull scared him a bit.

Here is DominicsDad trying out the costume.

And here is the little guy in his costume. It was a wee bit long and I ended up carrying him from house to house.

Next week we are going on vacation and blogging will be a bit light, see you in the holidays!
