More from Portland

Here's some more photos from Portland. Oh hey, I guess I lied about not having any pictures of O'Malley. The kids loved to feed him snacks, which he loved to eat.

Cole, Jocelyn, and Dominic made these crowns.

Just Returned

Today we returned from our trip to Portland where we visited Papa Tom, Nana, Uncle Lee, Aunt Rebecca, Cole & Jake. Oh yeah, and O'Malley!

Everyday, the kids played hard, napped hard, and then promptly fell asleep. DominicsMom & I were hard put to keep up with all five kids (D & J, Nana, Papa Tom, & O'Malley). Throw Cole into the mix and there was just a lot of screaming, dancing, and playing! Little Jake was cute as a button and all he did was sleep.

O'Malley also got a workout this weekend. Whenever the kids saw him, they would take off after him, either to give him a treat, catch & pet him, or to toss him a ball. After a few days, he did let them catch up so that they could pet him.

It was a very nice visit, but between Nana and myself, we took over 500 photos and movies, but then we did a lot! We went to the Portland Children's Museum, the OMSI, played in the Snow!!!, and went to Out of This World! So there were a lot of photo opportunities... It will take awhile to go throught them all, fix up the good photos and toss the bad ones. (And to think in all these photos, O'Malley didn't make it into one of them!)

And Happy New Year!

A Happy New Year to all!

Our first night in Portland, we met Uncle Lee, Aunt Rebecca, Cousin Cole, and Cousing Jake (little Jake!) for dinner. We met at a Sweet Tomato restaurant, which is the type of place where you go in, hit the salad bar and then fill up on soup, pizza, and muffins. I sat by Jocelyn and Dominic, and I told them that they could have a cookie if they ate a good dinner. I did not put Joss in a high chair, so she squatted or kneeled in her seat to eat and all was well for a bit. Eventually Joss began to slow down and pick at her dinner, but she was more playing with it then eating it. I had to remind her about her desert goal.

Finally giving up, Joss stood up on her chair, leaned over to me, put her arms around my neck in a big hug and proceeded to give me a big kiss on my cheek. She then whispered to me, "Cookie, please!"

That little girl is learning, way to butter up Dad! And of course she got her cookie...

Yesterday I was playing with Joss and she was into everything. So I grabbed her up and looked her in the eye and said, "Are you trouble?"

She instantly answered, "No, I'm gorgeous!"
