Finally - a New Post!

My apologies, but it has been a busy month. A lot of stuff has happened in Dominic's world, he has a new DVD to watch, he has a new cousin, and his dad is getting ready to leave for 7 months.

To take them in order, Dominic received a Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer DVD and he loves it! He's pretty cute watching it as he sings (sort of) and sways along with the music. Good thing its that time of year. There is one character that scares him, he hides his eyes until the bad-guy goes away. (He knows the movie so well that he hides his eyes before the bad guy shows up.) The bad guy is of course the Abominable Snow Man, otherwise known as the Bumble (its easier to say and type! Not sure if I got the Abo... spelling correct.) Here he is:

We have exciting news to announce, Dominics Uncle Lee and Aunt Rebecca have had a little boy! He weighs in at 7 lbs 5 oz, 20" long. Both Momma & baby are doing well. Dominic and I are getting ready to go up to visit, so I'm teaching him to wear earphones for the plane ride. I'm going to bring the DVD player to help pass the time, so he has to learn how to use the earphones.

For the last, DominicsDad has recently learned that he will be activated in early January for a deployment to Djibouti, located in the Horn of Africa in the early spring. I'll be gone for 7 months and expect to return in the early fall. DominicsDad will be the CO of the 4th Provisional Security Company, comprised of Marines and Sailors of H&S Co and Alpha Company, 4th Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion. DominicsMom will take over the site while I'm gone.
